1. Introduction
Welcome to NotaryVisit (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website located at notaryvisit.com and any related services, including our web application (together, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Agreements”). If you do not agree to these Agreements, you may not access or use the Service.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at support@notaryvisit.com — we're here to help.
2. Eligibility
By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally authorized to enter into binding agreements. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update your account as necessary. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect any unauthorized use or inaccurate information.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Some parts of the Service are offered on a subscription basis. By signing up for a subscription, you agree to:
- Provide a valid payment method
- Pay the applicable subscription fees
- Allow us (or our third-party provider, Stripe) to process payments in accordance with our Privacy Policy
You will receive a 30-day free trial when you first register. After the trial, you will be charged based on the plan you selected unless you cancel before the trial ends.
We reserve the right to change our pricing or subscription features with reasonable notice.
5. Use of the Service
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Impersonating others
- Violating any local, state, national, or international law
- Uploading false or misleading information about your notary services
- Attempting to interfere with or disrupt the Service or security features
NotaryVisit provides a platform for notaries to create personalized websites and manage client appointments. We do not monitor or control how individual notaries collect, store, or use client information. NotaryVisit is not responsible or liable for the conduct, data practices, or legal compliance of any notary using our platform.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including text, graphics, logos, software, and designs — are the exclusive property of NotaryVisit or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the Service without prior written permission.
You retain ownership of any content you provide (such as your name, notary commission details, or business information), but you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content solely to operate and improve the Service.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or liability.
You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time via your account settings.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, about the availability, accuracy, or reliability of the Service. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NotaryVisit and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10. Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers (such as Stripe) for payment processing and analytics. Your use of such services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Independent Notary Responsibility
NotaryVisit is a technology platform that enables notaries to build and manage their own booking websites. Each notary is solely responsible for the services they offer, how they communicate with clients, and how they handle personal information collected through their website.
We do not verify, endorse, or assume responsibility for the actions or legal compliance of any notary using our platform. Users who engage with a notary through a NotaryVisit-powered site do so at their own discretion.
